Unlike many singers that started at a young age in a school or church choir, Kim did not pursue a career in music until after marrying and starting a family. She explored her talent at local karaoke venues and rediscovered her natural ability to sing and entertain. The response to her performances was so overwhelming, she was encouraged to take the next step and sing with a live band. She found immediate success and has been in demand ever since.
Kim has performed at the Argosy Casino Kansas City, Harrah’s Casino Kansas City & Las Vegas, Isle of Capri Casino, Crown Center, Missouri State Fair, Kansas State Fair, The House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. She has won several major competitions and is considered one of the areas top performers.
As for her band, Kim feels proud and fortunate to be complimented by some of the best musicians in the midwest and performs in KC's top nightspots, as well as private, corporate, and wedding venues.
