The Kim Osborne Band
Thanks for viewing our website, we are constantly updating so check back often!  The Kim Osborne Band is made up of five exciting, experienced and accomplished musicians who love playing live music!

Comprised of many varied musical backgrounds and tastes, The Kim Osborne Band brings to the stage quality blues, classic rock, R&B and country, both old and new, or as Kim likes to say, "everything but the kitchen sink!"  Check back soon for detailed biographies on our band members.

Kim grew up singing in church choirs and cut her teeth on country music.  She has played with several well known bands in the KC area, most notably Funk Syndicate and Platinum Express, both funk/R&B horn bands.  Longing to play and sing the music she loved and grew up on, Kim set out to put together a band that appreciated the same quality and variety she desired.  With the help of good friend and music promoter Steve Gish,  she was introduced to guitar player John Brandsgard and bass/trombone player Dane Henningsen, both formerly of the Nortons.  A few months later they added keyboard player Willie Simmons, formerly of Penelope and the Unusual Suspects, and drummer Bruce Johnson, formerly of Nation and also a current member of They Only Look Familiar.  In a few short months, they were "wowing" audiences at bar gigs and private parties with Kim's strong vocal performance and a level of musicianship rarely seen and heard at a local level.
